IBCC does not recommend Adexanet due to cost. Ultimately docs will follow their hospital protocol. Don’t forget to measure Thrombin Time which if normal negates the need for Dabigatran reversal. If no Anti-Xa assay activity, probably excludes clinically relevant levels of Xa inhibitors per 2017 ACC guideline.

• Homeless Shelter Entry in the Year After an Emergency Department Visit: Results From a Linked Data Analysis– 5% of ED patients who were not currently homeless had been homeless in the last year.
• The Influence of Medicare for All on Reimbursement for Emergency Care Treat-and-Release Visits. Transitioning to Medicare for all may actually increase reimbursement to emergency departments while decreasing patient co-pays. It’s a win-win for patients and ED physicians!
